I thought it was a low mintage (330,000). How come it's not on this list? Thanx in advance!

What is considered scare, rare, or key date does not always follow with the size of the mintage.

In this case, the 1899 is well represented and can be found in up to MS-63 grade with relative ease. NGC alone has certified nearly 10,000 of them just in MS, to say nothing of PL, or DMPL.

Even though the mintage is low, enough of them were saved, for whatever reason, to keep them out of the key date realm.

Right! Original mintage is a good first check for rarity, but then there are multiple other factors which also come into play. Percent melted down, public awareness of the rarity, and popularity of the series with collectors all can act as modifiers to the "rarity".

The price guide that I'm looking at must be old. It tells me that a 1899 Morgan in VG8 condition is worth $125. I would post the link if the rules allowed.

Price guides are useless. Check ebay and heritage for auction results. That's what counts. Price guides are like phone books.. old & antiquated technology
