Not a big Buffalo nickel collector but I like the toning and eye appeal of this one. Strike seems very solid. PCGS price guide has this coin at $135 in MS-64 so it appears to be priced at full retail. Maybe if you contact the seller he would be willing to come down a bit.

I agree, I like the coin. Looks accurately graded. Retail price.
Generally, I don't like sellers that use "PQ" to describe their coins. This term is completely meaningless and just a buzz word that everyone uses (just like how everyone throws around "BU". I've seen damaged, cleaned, etc. coins where sellers say "PQ!", I mean seriously?
Not saying that is the case here, but it is up to the buyer to make the call as to whether they think a coin is premium quality in their eyes. Just my 2 cents.

It is a lovely accurately graded nickel, but the price is higher than I'd be willing to pay. In fact, my top price for this of about $85 is a long way from their asking price.

I must disagree w/you there Mox; OGH premium is about 20-30% or the equivalent of a CAC sticker; I think $120 or so would be a very, very good offer to make. Latest Bluesheet has $96 bid sight-unseen in PCGS MS64 and that's with no add for OGH.
As always, if you like the coin, want the coin, and can afford the coin, buy the coin.

Thanks for the comments. I must say, though, that I get a bit discouraged when I see comments like, "I would never pay more than...", refering to an extremely low price. Where does $85 figure in? The price for this one, when PCGS, NGC, and Numismedia are averaged is $146. I am just a collector who bids online, visits 2 or so LCSs and attends the occasionsl show. Even looking online, I see sales of 63 grades at around $90. I sometimes see people who quote really low prices. So, how do you get those prices? Seeing these, I feel like I must be getting ripped off. Are all of the price guides that wrong? Perhaps I am just that much of a newbie?

I think the price is fair. If you're looking to add a coin to your collection with no intention of ever selling it, I'd suggest using numismedia fmv guide. Don't be afraid to pay a little extra for a coin you find exceptionally appealing to your tastes. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten!
