Hello,
I'm Shawn and new at collecting coins. I metal detect all the time and finding coins.
After a year, my coin pan was about to fall apart. I started looking at the coins and loving the
copper pennies and how nice they looked after decades buried deep.
I started separating them and discovered some really old coins. Since then -
I really focused on mint errors.
I'm still learning and always happy to see what other people find.
This is my first question post.
I have a nickel that has no face. I put it under a microscope and could see some small details.
Such finds are not a big deal, from what found online.
However, if you look at the front coin, it does not match at all, it's like it has the wrong stamp.
I'd like to know who is on the face.
Dimes, I found 3 dimes and they all look odd, like total defects. I realize some people put these out
too people, but I've not seen anything like this. Oh, the coin on the left has a bronze color, no clue.
Any comments or thoughts are welcome and look forward seeing what everyone else finds
Thanks,
Shawn
