I would grade this one VF30 and a J group maybe 45a+J3a but I just can't see enough to be sure.

I am going to say VF30 36a + H2 ---but need clear photos to confirm especially leaf 6, 9 and 13 also the 9 should have slight tripling on the ball

I agree. From the photos provided, the specific attribution can not be positively ascertained.

Looks like a problem free VF to me and it's nice to see that it's not cleaned. I also agree with fourmack's attribution PC59-36a2
Cheers, Bill

Oftentimes 'vanilla' Vicky 59's are difficult and require study in order to ascertain the proper variety. But persistence normally proves successful.
When no readily apparent diagnostic characteristics markers are evident, the search really begins.
One venue to consider is to determine the reverse grouping (this is normally rather obvious). Once identified, proceed to the obverse and scroll down the obverse legends. I normally start with the C in CANADA. Put to memory the Serif of the C of the coin in question. Now scroll individually through listings of CANADA under the proper reverse grouping. Look for a C that is similar to yours. (The serif of the C's often shew various re-punchings). Upon encountering a 'possibility,' click-on the data and carefully compare the photo with the coin. And carefully study the data supplied by Dr. Haxby concerning both the obverse and reverse of the link. If the 'possibility' is confirmed, mission accomplished. If the 'possibility' pans-out, take a coffee break and continue. And all the while, appreciate the study, time, effort, trial, error, and patience of Dr. Haxby to in order to accomplish and make this most valuable tool available to us.
And if all fails, you may have stumbled upon a currently unknown variety, or possibly a variety that Dr. Haxby has, but has not yet updated.
