I found this penny and wondered if it's an error. I have a five gallon water container full of coins .Just going through them (months now still half left) but I found this cent and wonder if it's an error. Thank you

Not an error coin.

Your cent got smashed against another cent -- maybe in a vise. The clue here is that the numbers and letters are indented mirror images of what they should be.

Never hurts to ask, though.

Post Strike Damage ( PSD) Someone tried to alter your coin to make it look like an error. Couldn't do it. So what does he do with it, put it back into circulation.
