Good evening my friends I found this the other day and just now got the chance to upload pictures let me know what you think. Sorry if pictures come out sideways my iPhone does some strangest things when I upload to here

That is machine damage during the strike. (commonly called Machine Doubling, but there is nothing actually doubled, just damaged) It is identified by the following:
1. Flat shelf like (it removes the curve that should be there reducing the device)
2. The area is one color because it is flat in that area. (The curvature of the nose is pushed inwards)
3. most of the time when you see this touching the outside edge of the bust, it is MD.
4. note the metal is higher on the side where the nose was damaged. Like someone snow plowed that area towards the nose.
This is not hub doubling, so it is not a doubled die. You can see if on one side of letters and digits and mint marks as well. It is common and carries no premium. People do sell these, but once you know it is not a doubled die, if you bought one, then you would be upset. So I would never sell one as new collectors fall for these all the time.

I keep the MD coins I find so I can use them as a reference. I am always learning new things about coins and so far I must say the easiest coins I have found to look at are LMC. The shine of the dimes Nickles and quarters play trucks with my eyes lol
