amac44 Member United States 3242 Posts	Posted 02/09/2008 11:53 am This the 1st Dime my great great grandfather made at his store. when he can over from Italy 1874.He lived till he was 101 year old he died when I was 5 in 1955. It has been is a silver safe until it was passed down to me. I put in folder then the better coin book came out. I do not handle it at all with out gloves. I don't know if may family's ever clean it I think the silver safe may have keep it clean? Report this Post to the Staff

hunter20ga Pillar of the Community United States 1173 Posts	Posted 02/09/2008 7:53 pm Strong full liberty, but facial features lacking; also appears to have some wear on the breast, but thighs seem less worn than one might expect. Reverse appears well-struck with details consistent with AU. The lack of facial detail makes the coin appear cleaned, but if it is a weak strike, then perhaps it hasn't been cleaned.
