Amac44,

MS 62-maybe MS 63.

I don't think there is any doublig of the date but I may be wrong. Some others may see something I don't though.

I love the rim toning.

MS-61. It's hard to tell on the date. Breen says repunching plainest on 1 and atop 6 for a VAM 5 and look for doubling on stars VAM 4. Nice coin!

Hi Amac,
This looks like an MS-60 coin to me. Although it is probably technically uncirculated, the numerous cuts on Liberty's cheek, the chatter in the fields, and the heavy scuffing over the cap and hair all add up to a bottom-end BU Morgan.

The toning looks pretty original. If you like the tone, it probably compensates a bit for the contact marks.

I'll go ms62, although an ms63 would not surprise me from a TPG (they rarely use 60-62 on the more common dates for whatever reason).
BTW, I really like the toning on this one. Nice coin, amac!

I would have a hard time going over MS-61 for this one. I have to agree with Jaobler on the reasons for the grade. I do like the toning though. Nice coin !
There looks like a very small split in the top left serif of the 1 , and the cut at the top of the 8 could be evidence of doubling , but it kinda looks like a hit. I don't see any doubling on the 9 or 6. Identifying Vams can be tedious sometimes ...fun bordering on madness !
The pictures of the date are pretty clear, but both the obv and rev seem to fade out of focus , probably taken from an angle ? Tough to see any other VAM identifiers this way. The parts that are in good focus are very sharp and very detailed, and the date pictures are great !

MS60 SCRATCHES, any decent TPG would just send it back nograde. I do like the toning on the coin though. I don't see any doubling on the date, it could be extra dirt in those hidden areas that are hard to clean.
