Has anyone ever heard of or seen a 1905 Barber dime that only had the head side minted? I came across this piece and would like to get some input on it. I've looked all over the net and have yet to find an example or mention of it. I'm not sure if it's a barber-0 or not either. The back side of completely flat and looks as if it were never stamped. I will upload pics soon. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the CCF, topgman80. Here's hoping you enjoy this most educational numismatic website.

In all likelihood, your 1905 dime was altered by a jeweler, in preparation for engraving. Typically, the reverses of silver coins were planed down, leaving the obverse side alone; this, as the dated side would signify the year of the presentation.
Rest in Peace
