I think it is an earlier Die State because the crack on the head is not as extensive and the Retained Cud on the wheat stalk has not yet completely developed. Am I correct about that? To bad it is beat up!

It is a LDS coin. You can see the breakdown of the devices on the date.

The point I was trying to make was that this is an earlier die state than where the Retained Cud on the reverse is complete. I assume in that form it is VLDS?

I'm not sure what coin you are talking about. There are many different dies that has the so called poor mans doubled die. In one roll I found 19 examples (out of 50) and there were many different dies represented in that roll. So there isn't just one die that has this.

I was looking at your image which showed a Retained Cud on the left wheat stalk. You had posted it in the context of a 1955 poor man discussion https://goccf.com/t/250895#250895), so I assumed (perhaps erroneously) it was a 1955 poor mans DD Reverse:

I don't have what date it was on the Retained Cud, but I was thinking 1946? (if memory serves me)

The reason I assumed a 55 was that it was in that context and the cracks were quite similar.
