It's not silver and goes for $10 in uncirculated condition.

Certainly looked like it to me with all the references I checked but I figured there was an expert here who could confirm and has maybe seen them before in hand.

It looks legit to me, but I've never actually seen one in real life, so I don't know for sure. I'd definitely hold on to that if I found it in my change, because you'd probably have to noodle through another 250,000 coins in order to find another one.

HI - Since you are Canadian - it begs my question - how did you get it?

A big pile of foreign coins. It's generally why it's in such nice condition it was probably part of someone's leftover Australian trip money from back in the late 60s and just sat here since then.

It would be interesting to see how many $1/10c mules have been taken overseas. If you know anyone who visited Perth in the early 2000s and then took some coins overseas, it might be worth checking them to see whether you can find an almost uncirculated example. If you do, it would probably be worth over $5000!
