this seller has a ton of these..
I am curious as to whether ANACS slabbed that way, or the dude did his toning process afterwards.

Interesting.. the toning isn't great on a coin I have but I have a 2014 eagle that was blast white when 3 guys gave it to my newbor. Son in july of 2014.. I saw it the other day and it had toned up.. not to this extreme but I was like wow why is this toning

I vote real.
And actually coins can tone rather quickly in some environments.

Toning on that first Eagle in ANACS slab looks fine. It is market acceptable. Plenty of PCI SE toned in their holders also.
It should be very difficult to get even AT toning after a coin I slabbed but it probably is possible as holders can be subject to high pressures and outside chems. Neat if if can be done this nicely!

First of all ,what's all those spots all over obverse ? Secondly ,who cares if they are AT or Natural Toned . they are BULLION ,you can't buy anything that cost $1 with them. If someone buys it for $200 or more than they better start educating themselves about the difference between collector coins and bullion .

Of course it is toned! (correctly described) Artificially, that is.
Careful heat treatment will do the trick!

Huh, I can really tell but I'm kinda leaning towards NT guys but not 100% and anacs agreed apparently. It's in a straight graded slab and ones of this type to sell on the $200 range but this one is kinda ugly compared to mine below. Don't know about how an anacs slab will effect price though. I'm guessing it will sell quickly in the $80-100 range. Here's a couple of mine. All strict graded but by PCGS though... These are true $200+ range ones

I think this is a scam (artificially toned) but I am not 100% positive so I asked the question. I have seen ASE's with black spots, (not in my collection) but others have posted pictures. I don't think a 5 year old coin could tone that much without assistance.

Very curious as to what part of this qualifies as a scam, as the OP so boldly suggests?

selling at coins as natural toned. So, let me see if I understand... Because you do not believe the coins could have toned naturally, and despite the fact the coin is graded and authenticated by ANACS, and deemed market acceptable, this is a SCAM? Quote: the dude did his toning process afterwards. I do not understand the basis of these accusations with no evidence whatsoever. If you could present any evidence or facts, that would be one thing, but I am greatly concerned about threads like this where someone is blindly accusing another of outright fraud, with no evidence to support these bold statements whatsoever. There is certainly a danger with threads like these, which seem to becoming more frequent, to quickly denigrate into outright hatchet jobs.
