322016947962My message to him: "Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is not a 1990 No S Lincoln Cent. This is your typical 1990 P business strike Lincoln Memorial cent, worth $0.01. A proof would have mirror like surfaces ,but this one on the other hand as dark surfaces." Response I get: "Hi how's it going, the reason there isn't any mirror like surfaces is because of the surrounding area it has been in. This coin hasn't left San Franciso which allowed the foggy and moist weather get to it. Thank you for your concern though."

Like tedster says "this seller has "0" feedback." Don't know much about pennies but even I wouldn't buy a coin from someone with 0 feedback on ebay. Interested to see if someone buys it. Got a couple of these I'd be interested in offering buyer...lol

He probably found it face up in Wal-mart parking lot. And you know what that means. Its good luck and has to be a real "No S"

The way they replied makes me think they know that it isn't a 1990 no s penny but ebay keeps letting them people on there site to sell, just look at the reverse with them zinc rot bubbles.i know people can make honest mistakes, I know I have. But the way they replied doesn't sound like an honest mistake, that is just my opinion.

In 1970 there was proof dimes with no s,there was also 1970-p business strike with a proof reverse, which I have some of the business strike with the proof reverse so if you see someone selling a no s 1970 proof dime make sure it is certified.

look what he put in the description now! To all the forum nerds thanks for the comedy, poor lighting results in humorous messages. This is a very scarce and unique 1990 Penny, with the rare 1990 no S proof Cent. According to the PCGS website fewer than 200, 1990 no S proof cents exist.

I guess he got a lot of CCF members sending him messages.
The auction was stopped.
I sent seller another message. Told him/her that maybe the forum nerds know more about coins than he does.
But if he was so sure it is ... send it to PCGS.

I see numerous ebay sellers with a 100% positive feedback rating selling fake errors as genuine, so in my opinion 100% feedback doesn't hold much weight.. When it comes to zero feedback, all new sellers start with zero, and I wouldn't let a zero rating prevent me from bidding, providing they had just registered with ebay, and not listing key date or rare items.. I most likely would cap my bid at around $25.00 for a zero to 25 feedback rating..

I've done very well with low feedback sellers who know nothing about coins and only list one or two at a time, probably from an inherited collection. I'm waiting on one's I purchased that way last year for NGC to grade (way over working days already). Ill show results and photos and prices paid whenever I get them back.
