Staying home today, so thought I would do some updates. Attempting to follow in a couple other members nice Morgan dollar sets, I to have been working on one. I have been doing some upgrades, but I still have four empty holes. 1893 S, 1894, 1895 S and 1903 O. I also have some coins in my dollar date set Dansco, that need upgrade. When I upgrade those coins, I will move them to this set. 1892 S, 1893, 1894 O and 1895 O. Dansco 7178 1878 - 1890 Page One Page One Top Page One Bottom Edited by GR58 03/01/2016 12:29 pm

Very nice! And bummer, I should've put the 1895S lowball I bought for spot on here to see if anyone needed it. Sure it would have been one to upgrade, but still. Very nice set and you are very close! :)

Very nice set of Morgan's. Thanks for sharing. What is your plan on the 93s, 94, and 95s are you going to buy raw or buy a slab and crack or keep in slab and sticker album?

I help out at two Local coin shops.
What I hope is, for the coins I need to come into one of the shops, either raw or slabbed.
I feel I get my best deal from them.
If I felt there was any questions about being authentic, I would still have the option of sending coins into NGC or ANACS.
---------------------
I am not opposed to breaking slabs open, I have done it for a couple of these coins.
Sometimes I don't feel the need.
For example - I have a nice NGC 1894 S, I would have to dig it out, but I think it is AU 58. I don't feel the need to crack it open ... at this time.

Quote: I should've put the 1895S lowball I bought for spot on here to see if anyone needed it I never know what I will end up buying. I would like them all to be at least a grade of Fine, but sometimes a good deal comes along that I will buy just to fill a hole. Like the last coin I updated in this set, 1891 CC, the hole filler has a lot of problems ..
