They design a coin album so one can view coins from both sides, so why then print the date/mm on only one side?!

Printing on both sides would add complications, errors, and cost to the production.
They would have to print one side and let it dry before printing the other side. Then you get in to the 2nd print on the correct side, in the correct order, aligned correctly, and several other things I am not considering. I would guess that would double or triple the printing cost.

Good points, Fuzzy.
As a point of reference, CAPS albums are printed on both sides. Granted, these are very different albums with very different manufacturing processes.

Yes, I agree that would likely add cost and complication for manufacturing.
I checked out the CAPS albums. Interesting, though I think I like the Dansco more. Maybe another option down the road.

I think Fuzzy brings up the best points here. For what it is worth, I do have some Dansco pages without writing on either side.

This is the same with most Album companies. Whitman, US coins, Harris, etc. Printed on one side only. A simple solution is to put all the coins in so the reverses are on the side with the printing. Then when you turn the page, the obverse with the dates would be shown so info not required. Might be a good enough reason to write them and make that as a request.

If it irks you that much, write in your own dates on the rear side of album pages.

There are date roller stamps available that you can change the year to print whatever date you want. Just remember to only use the ink they supply, or it can turn into a mess with the wrong type ink.
You can also print them on the little sticky labels from your computer, although a piece of "paper" stuck on the back wouldn't be too attractive.
You can have any date you want printed up with clear backing so only the print shows by using transparent paper on the computer. OR you can use one of those card making machines like my wife uses. I have all my binders edge labels from her nifty machine and I've had her make me gold and silver labels, too. Those things cost almost nothing to print whatever you want in any font and any color.

Great ideas moxking. I can see the clear backing option likely looking pretty good. Thanks.
