I have just gone through 3 boxes of pennies and thought to myself what has anyone found of significance on my forum.
I would love to hear or see exactly what was found as far as rarities, varieties and those pennies that are worth some money.

With rare exceptions you will hear about the good stuff found in this forum title. Most of the time if we go through boxes and boxes and find nothing we (I at least) don't post because all I would be doing is whining (which I'm actually quite good at).
Most of the time a $8 and hour job, even after taxes, will net you more than you are going to find CRH'ing. The hobby is for those who love to hunt, even if the finding is not always wonderful.

Im 4 boxes into CRH, searching pretty much every night for the past month. I just came across my first big find last night, a 1994P DDR. Along with the usual wheats, 2009s, & canadians, I'm building a pretty nice collection of cracked dies.

I have found about 6 Indian heads, 2 1909 LWC, and 1 1909 VDB. However these are all found north of the 49th parallel, and over about 40 boxes or more.

Hmmmmm....depends on the individual I suppose and each of us has a favorite or two. And it may not be the most valuable of finds; just interesting. My favorites: - Many LWCs including 1909 and 1909 VDB and many semi-key dates/mms and many AU specimens - 7 or so IHCs - Many Variety cents; not sure which is my favorite though - Many Error cents; probably my 1994 rotated die rises to the top Odd finds CRH cents: - 1901 Oldsmobile sterling silver bar - 1942 Mercury dimeMy oddest/luckiest find was probably the 1915 gold Ducat but that was found in a nickel roll. The thing of it, as noted by our fellow enthusiasts, is that we do it for fun and the occasional thrill of finding something great. Do it long enough, lightning will eventually strike. Good luck fellow enthusiasts! I've had a share, but always hoping for more!

I am also in Canada so it's a bit skewed.. but here's some notables... 1 IHC... 100's of wheat cents .. For Canadian cents I have found almost EVERY date with the exception of a few keys in EF condition or better most being AU-UNC! I have found silver dimes But the most important thing I have found.. is a fantastic way to "play" with my kids who are 2 and 4 years old! We count them and roll them on the floor and look at the pictures and made up different games and stacked 'em to make towers.. and it's that quality time that I have really enjoyed...

Thanks Rackster, it was pure luck I simply got rolls and grinded through like each of us does everyday. I talked to JT Stanton about it and he thinks there are quite a few rarities still in daily circulation.

Best I've found is 3 IHPs in the same MWR. Common dates but they didn't have verdigris. Other than that the best Ive found are teen or 20s (almost always p mint). I have never found a significant error like the CAM,WAM,Doubled ear and I'd say I've gone through $1000 or so total.

My best find was a 1955 Doubled Die cent a few years back. It was authenticated.

First box I ever searched through gave me a 1899 IH in pretty poor condition. Most valuable coin I found was a 1937-D BU coin. I have probably searched through 100 or more boxes so far, and most of the time I end up with junk wheats, or the occasional BU penny from the 60's
