As I was scrolling through CCF one night I came across scopru's post in the "For Sale" section where he was trying to sell a brand new Dansco 7070. I have avoided these for years but something just hit me that night and told me I should purchase this and tackle a type set. You rarely see these for sale brand new so I emailed scopru and a few hours later the deal was done. I have had a ton of fun going through my collection trying to find the perfect coins to fill these holes with. The 7070 arrived today and I have already filled it with the coins I have. Now the hunt continues for the right coins to fill the empty holes with. My goal is to keep this a fine or better set. Most will be above fine but the more expensive ones may have to settle for fine. Well here is the set in progress.

Good luck with this. You already have a pretty nice start!

Very nice start. The hardest coin for me to find was the classic head large sent. It seems like it took me forever to find one that I liked. Good luck on filling it.

Welcome to the extremely fun 7070 club! It will test your patience.....been working on mine for years, but I'm really proud of what I've got in mine.

You are off to a great start! I never thought it would happen, but the 4 Half Dimes were the most fun finding for me. It's a journey to fill it up all the way. I'm stuck in the Seated dollars right now.

The 7070 is a fun set to build, and never gets old, since each new coin is different!

Very nice! And something that appeals to me in a big way. I'd like to have or start a set like this. But in all honesty I feel it's too late in life to start this type and actually complete, with a few other tangible yet difficult projects already. Both financially and time wise.

I wish I would have grown an interest earlier in life. I can't imagine how many nice and valuable coins have passed through my hands and didn't even know. Being born in the 60's, just the silver value alone really bums me out.

Thanks for sharing, it's remarkable!
Rest in Peace

I never had a Dansco 7070 album but I now know how interesting and fun it would be to conquer this great set.

You are off to a great start - it's a fun album to fill and you will learn so much about the various coin series that make it up.

Looking good!

I like how you put the new Jeff for the Modern nickel. Think I'll change that around in mine,

Wonderful start. Very nice coins included thus far. One of the best things about this set is how much you learn about each type as you explore them.
