I almost did not ask this question, because my first reaction was that this is MD. No one lists a DDR for 1950-D except Wexler and he offers no photos or examples. So I need a little help!

There are 2 reasons I decided to ask:
Even though the feature appears shelf like, it is quite pronounced.
It does not appear to make the devices smaller, but rather enlarges them.

Flat and shelf like, my guess would be MD.

Note the areas that are affected are all the same color. (a sign of metal being pushed/altered with no more contour that all devices should have, even doubled dies/RPMs)

Note contour shading, fading from light to darkness on all sides of the devices. (on this image you can see a slight amount of MD on the tops of the devices)

These devices show the enlarge look of the doubled die, also the light to darkness on the devices showing roundness/taper. [not damaged by machine movement)

Note on the RPM, all areas show light to darkness and no same color, no flatness or shelf look to them.

There is no rounding on the right side of the devices. (why the affected show no roundness is because the machine damaged those devices) (see images above)
Note the devices are uneven in overall appearance and you can see where the machine damage to the coin altered them showing the reduction of the devices. (the area that is the same color is the area reduced by the MD)

Note the distortion on these devices by machine damage. Some devices shape show a lot of loss of overall design. (show by one color because of flatness of that area from MD)
