I found a 1976D Lincoln Cent ring. The ring is silver in color and has a liberty bell stamp on the left of Lincoln's head and a stamp of the united states w/ USA in the middle of the stamp on the right of Lincoln's head. Have you ever seen any of these rings, if so can you give me some info on it? Check out the pic.

Very odd for someone to make a ring out of the least valuable denomination coin we have. No info really unless someone here has seen one or we could see some pictures.

As far as worth...I'd say no more then the melt value of the copper unless it really is silver

I said Have...not Had...for you 1/2 cent fanatics out there

It sounds like someone took a novelty coin and made a ring from it. Back in the '70s copper rings were popular--people thought copper had some curative powers. This was plated no doubt to prevent the copper staining the wearer's finger.

Is this a ring with a cent mounted on it or is it a ring made from a coin?

I'm guessing that it was counterstamped and then later mounted as a ring. I have seen those 2 counterstamps on 2 different coins but seperatly...meaning not together...geez I even confuse myself sometimes

I've got a 1976 cent with that same counterstamp of the US on it. I found mine in circulation.
