can you take a details picture of the area of field below the "NT" of cent and above the "States" I am curious about the marker that is supposed to be located there... My opinion is it looks correct... the thickness at the bottom of the correct letters, and the elongated dot between the "E . Pluribus . Unum" it also looks like the second U in Unum has some shelf doubling going on there too...

I will work on that tomorrow morning. Can you give me a link to your resource for that marker? Or perhaps you can post an image? I do not know what I am looking for. I do not find that marker noted on coppercoins, CONECA or Wexler (did I miss it?)

I think that I found what you are referencing - the markers in this area appear to be only on EDS examples. That will not apply to this coin.

I thought my coin in the OP was interesting in that the Reverse showed some "Woody" effect, but not the Obverse. Maybe that means that the Reverse is something other than improper alloy mix?
