1940-S LWC This Looks Like It Should Be RPM?

I cannot find an RPM match. Perhaps it is MD (look at the 4). I don't think it is a Doubled Die. So, I need some guidance.

Maybe wrong, but the MM top and bottom mimics the date making me think die movement or MD. Can't make out any split serifs in the current pic. Thanks, Doug.

It is machine damage from die movement during the strike.

Thanks, coop. I have never been able to understand how MD can affect one device, but not the one right next to it!
