I just noticed this 2009 UHR $20 PCGS MS 70 PL Early Releases sold on ebay in February for almost $30,000, a non early releases example sold the same day for $4,241!

Has anyone seen a price differential more extreme than that due to an early releases or first strike label?

See the sale I'm talking about here,

371547689877

and the none early releases one here

351640055010
Rest in Peace

I've never fully understood the huge price differences for exactly the same coin in the same grade from the same TPG with the label being the only difference.

But I do have a friend who is trying to get every possible label from NGC for his ASE collection. He gets quite excited when he finds a new label.

To each their own.

That's the sort of situation that keeps me from buying anything dated after 1964.
All that needs to happen is a bunch more people submitting their coins and blowing up the population number.

And if I read it correctly it was LISTED for $29,995; it did not SELL.
Hence the price has no significance.

Kanga, when I look at the listing on mobile, it does show up as "Sold."

A quick search brings up no more examples of an ER MS70PL. There are however ones without the PL designation listed for around $3,000 and a 69 DPL for $39,500. I'm guessing the combination of ER, MS70, and PL is what made such big of a price difference.

The first one was more perfect.
