I know it's not perfect (has 2 extra 0's on the end) but It was interesting that I found this around sept 11th 2 years ago.. Is there any desire for stuff like this? do I just spend it?

Since it's that high in FV, I would spend it since it's not a series 2001 bill, but if you do find one out there, it would probably be worth lots of money.

Thanks for the response. I thought I was lucky to find this,,, being that I am in Canada. I didn't think it would be an easy date to come across.

I'd probably spend it. $100 is a lot to tie up. Even though it is a birthday bill (January 9, 1100), I'm pretty sure there are very few collectors of birthday notes prior to about 1750, and even if there were, they probably wouldn't be willing to tie up $100.

yes it is crisp. received it from a bank in Canada prior to a trip to the US. and when I looked at the serial numbers I tucked this away

Well, that would make the decision tough for me since it's crisp. But as CalzoneManiac mentioned, $100 is a lot to tie up. Now, if you're collecting $100 FRNs and trying to fill in a series that would be different.
