You've indicated that the bill has been burned, although I thought polymer was similar to plastic. I wonder if it's been melted and then stretched because Sir Robert Borden's head appears abnormally wide. On a normal $100 bill, the tip of the maple leaf extending from the words "Banque du Canada" touches his head. Your bill looks out of proportion, is the length longer than that of a normal bill?

the size is the same as other $100 bill, the other side is normal which is odd. It might melted during the printing

It's very difficult to only look at a photo of a banknote, wihout having the ability to determine the texture. The rounded white of the eye and the small triangle underneath looks a little too ghoulish to me.

I was thinking acetone as well, along with an artist brush.

I have my suspicions that this note is legit!

My belief is that this is an ink smear....

Certainly a smudge of some sort.
The dots to the right of his head are nearly invisible too.

So I consulted an individual who I consider an expert in this field.... he's not a member here (at least I don't think he is, but he did have a look at the pictures)

He is of the opinion that this is some sort of damage and NOT a printing error. I'm inclined to believe him.

I think this bill is legit, put another one behind it and take a pic. Manly to show that it's unaltered. The back looks normal.
