This album just came in from Wizard today. I am hoping it will help me organize the Ancient coins I do have, and give me some direction on future purchases. Not sure how other collectors are organizing their Ancient coins. I am hoping for opinions or suggestions on this album. (Just some quick pictures as I put a few coins into it)

My advice is get a well paying job, and look after your health.
Its gonna take a while to complete... and not a cheap project.
Personally I am not one for filling sets, and Romans are not my first choice (I am a sucker for Greek coins) but the way I collect is more organic and less linear. I basically buy what I like, trying to add different types, interesting coins and varieties.
If you can get to the end of that though it will be a great achievement.

These are nice albums and will be a challenge to complete with some of the rarer emperors.

Thank you for your reply.
I am not even close to being a expert on ancient coins.
Not sure if I will ever complete this album, I just like having a place to put the ones I do have.
Last year I made a decision to get albums for coins that I do have. If I can fill them ..or not ... I like seeing them in albums.
I am sure I will be asking questions about this album.
For example Should I add more information? How are the "Wife of coins" treated?

It looks like you have some nice coins to start filling the album with.

Quote: Not sure how other collectors are organizing their Ancient coins . I keep my coins in 2x2s just like you but then store them by date in those boxes that player piano rolls came in (back in the day). The boxes are easy to store in the safe or flip through when I'm trying to find something.

Very dangerous to have all those holes in the first pages--those are not cheap holes to fill!
You do seem to be off to a very nice start! I am pretty disorganized with mine--not a problem with 20 ancients, but it's getting tiresome at 500+. Are you going for any particular denomination, or just whatever captures your interest/budget?

It looks like Littleton sells ancient coins that come in a 2x2 clear flip, with a information card.
I am thinking I will try to duplicate that system. It looks like the flip will slide in and out more easily.

I help out at two coin shops. Sometimes ancient coins come. I have picked up 20 to 30 coins over the years. They have a lot more in inventory that are not identified.
I figure once I get organized I may be able to identify more ... too fill more holes. I put in 10 to 12 so far. I still have more to go through at home.
----------- I am not after any certain denomination, just what catches my eye, and of course price

i started with an album (and still have some of my first coins and coins I cleaned myself in one), but got tired of always rearranging them (well, I picked up another jovian, have to move all the other coins around to make room for it). now I do 2x2 pvc flips in boxes, much easier to organize. if I get a new jovian, just pop it in by one of my old ones.
i can't make out your other coins GR58, but that is a great looking hadrian!
