Hello Folks,

Been forever since I posted anything here!

Wondering if I can get some help with this interesting coin. Some weird sort of dot under the 9 and also inside the 8 in the date.

Thanks

Based on the die crack to leaf 12 and the stem to leaf 9 I would guess that this is variety PC59-36a1. Obverse 36a + reverse E37a. I would think the dots were some sort of crud buildup on the coin.

I see the die crack but the Dot has me stumped, never seen this before. I have to wait until coin is in hand to do some better investigation.

As a matter of fact, yes, I will be attending the Boucherville show on April 9. And it is very kind of you to suggest that. I would be great to meet another fellow CCF member. Let's meet at the entrance at 10. I will be there as of 9 am (show is open to the members as of 9). Such kindness of you to suggest that and yes please bring your coin.

If it is not crud on the coin, then it is probably rust or corrosion pits in the die. I see some similar around the T and on leaf 9

If you look carefully, there are a number of other "dots" present, e.g., on and around Leaf 9 (the bottom one). I believe these are corrosion mounds that could easily be removed. The die stage of your coin is no more advanced than those in my reference collection on which there are no such "dots".
