"Clear enough to identify" best describes this 1805 JR-2 (4 Berries) Draped Bust dime. Yes, it's got issues. But at least it's not bent, cut, or holed, and it is real.
Came out of a 40+ year old collection. Was still in a flip, complete with fully rusted staple used to attach flip to card. Fortunately staple and flip did not damage coin.
Fair 2 Details, IMO -- CCF? No idea what caused the unusual wear patterns.
Took pics w and w/o flash but it didn't really make the coin look different. In hand, it's a slightly darker variation of itself in tones of gray.
Better than fair-2. AG3 is probably correct. The obverse a tad better. It bears the scars of a long life in circulation, but it is all there and very historical.
