Looks a hair better than fine to me. VF20 details for the environmental spot thingy on the front and the cleaning it looks like it may have had. Very cool that you can see the over date in this pic!

Technical VF20 (cheek and jawbone separation). I have no problem with the surfaces, look original to me. A very strong D/D! I really like that one, nice coin.

Edit - Great pictures BTW! I get the sense that your light is bringing out stuff you don't much notice in hand. Use a duster or bulb to blow that debris off the coin, looks like nothing more than loose "fuzz".

I took the pic when it was inside a 2x2 cardboard holder. The dust and scratches are from/in the holder. I soaked it in baking soda/water then used a rose thorn to clean the crud a bit.

IMO that is just a stain. I see no active corrosion on this coin.

As far as cleaning - I think his light is cutting the patina and high quality photos make every imperfection seem bigger than it (probably) is in hand. JMHO

When the light is too strong it tends to show more of what is under the patina.

VF20. It looks dipped for me.
Very strong re-punched mint mark.
