All the 1917's I have seen , the 9 in the date has a notch in the upper tail. I don't see it on your coin.

Is there a chance you could get some closer pics of the date? I think I see the doubling on the 7 but am struggling to see the rest for sure. Grade is G6.

Here is an EDS example to see what the first coins look like struck with the DDO die that year:
1917-DDO-Lincoln-Wheat-Penny
Note the notches on the bottom right side of the '1's? Your coin is missing that. Also the notch on the 9? The devices on your coin look wider, but that is from circulation flattening, not hub doubling.

Note on tapapple65's coin on the 1? There is a notch there as well as a notch on the 9. The second '1' is missing that notch, but it may have been flattened over that area.

Circulation flattening covers over sometimes that was there. I feel your coin didn't have that doubling to start with.

The bust looks more like an AG3 while the lettering detail looks like a G4 or G6... You would really have to be a G6 or G8 to make it worth while to send this coin in to be graded...
