So, I came across a .999 silver prospector medal with a huge error (it's marked .999 copper instead of silver). ANACS has certified it and graded it MS69.

Is it worth trying to buy and flip it? (I usually collect US cents, nickels and Morgans.)

I can probably get it for less than $50.

Is it a medal error, or an ANACS error?

You would have some competition, though not ANACS certified.

Hmm Wouldn't it be much more likely to just be silver plated?

It's marked (ND) medal MS-69 ND Medal Prospector Silver and then
it has "1 ounce .999 Fine Copper" by ANACS. I did some checking. There
are other errors out there but I haven't come across any that have been
certified.
