Greetings everyone,

I am not a coin collector, but I am helping out a friend who is. He was pretty close to filling out a U.S. Quarter book until the other day he was involved in a car accident. Now he may never walk again. When he is healthy enough he will go back to France to finish rehabilitation. He is just a brilliant young man. I wanted to help him complete the book. He was just collecting circulated quarters. Nothing in the mint. The three quarters left are American Samoa 1900, Virgin Islands 1917, Obverse 1999-2008.

It's not imperative that I find these quarters, but it be nice to complete it for him. The young man is highly intelligent and with most intelligent people these little things tend to create a little void in their OCD DNA.

If someone could point me in the right direction or help me out. I would be appreciate it.

Everybody have a good week.

Erik

Any local coin shop should be able to fill in the gaps. They were minted in the millions.

to the Community!

This is a great thing you are doing for your friend.

Something you may want to consider is coin roll hunting. We have a forum dedicated to it...

The hole "Obverse 1999-2008" can be filled with any Statehood Quarter (the obverse is the same on every one).
Rest in Peace

It's likely if you went to the bank and bought a few rolls (which you could turn back in) that with a little searching you might find the two he needs for just 25c each!

My condolences for the young man's tragedy. My sincere thanks to you for attempting to do this for him. Adding more happy juice to the world is what keeps us all going.

Definitely a nice thing to do for a friend.

If he's up for the company, the two of you sorting through rolls of coins might keep him occupied and give him some feeling of accomplishment too. Plus you can put two quarters back in and get your money back.

You can also buy them on ebay for a few dollars. http://www.ebay.com/sch/DC-US-Terri...66676/i.html - I see both offered for $1.59 each with free shipping.
