Hi Everyone, As promised, I have 3 more Morgans which I purchased. Still have 2 more Peace dollars to put up as well (they are tricky to photograph!!). Thanks for all the help so far, I bought these as MS63/64 in mind so good to see I'm learning my Morgan grading. 1) 1882-S: 2) 1898 (hard to get the color of the reverse, its a nice even light blue): 3) 1881-S

Can't tell what's going on in the right obverse field (if anything) of the '82, but looks like a 65 to me. There seems to be some sort of stain on the reverse of the '98, which could hold it back - not worse than 64. If the '81 has good luster, it could go 65, looks clean as a whistle.

I'm usually right with the Frog on Morgan's, but I think he might be slightly generous on a couple of those.
I see 65, 63, 64.

Thanks very much for the replies! They will be sent to PCGS with a few other US coins I've been squirrelling away. Will report back with final grades when they are sent back.

82 S looks great - 64 with a shot at 65.
1898 P has a fingerprint on the reverse and is dipped. Slightly flattened high points on the obverse hair - What does the luster look like in hand?
81 S - dipped. Weak obverse strike - which, there are many 81 S with a GREAT strike. How is the luster in hand?

On second look, I think the 81-S is also 65. You can see a ton of luster bleeding through the layer of toning and the coin is practically mark free. Will be interesting to see how these grade.

Thanks for all the advice! It`s been a while since I handled Morgans so it`s great to compare my grades against much more experienced US collectors.
Acloco the luster is subdued from toning but if you catch the light there is plenty of reflectivity in the fields. All of the coins have a similar effect of the luster being subdued by the tone but as fenton says it bleeds through.
I`ll send these off in the next couple weeks and be sure to report back the grades.

I'm loving that 82-s but on the field behind her on the obverse is there any indication that a spot was scuffed off or anything? It looks a little off but we all know how temperamental photos can be
