This is another recent purchase for the 7070. I forgot just how expensive the classic head large cents were! 1814 was the last year for the classic head and has a mintage of 357,830. I'm glad I can mark this one off the list!

G-4, possibly details based on the gouge next to the nose.

Yes, Good-4 detail because of the mark by the nose. A TPG probably will not grade it.

Nice coin Conner. These classic heads are hard to come by and harder still problem free. Fine and above they get ridiculously pricey. I like what looks to be original surfaces, full liberty, and strong date. The reverse has some distractions but overall, for the grade, a nice classic head that I would add to my collection given the chance and the right price. I would grade your coin G4 details, Net AG (EAC grade).

Agree G-04, most likely details. Too bad.

Have to agree with the Good, details grade. Still some positive points. Congratulations on getting that beast off your list.

G4 details. just too many gauges to grade clean. I do agree that finding nice clean examples is really a challenge without deep pockets.

A few digs & cuts but nice color and a relatively clean planchet. G details but looks fine in a Dansco hole. :)

I agree with G-4 details, a few gouges/scratches- but even if those were not present it is G4 wear, so a third party grade might knock it back to AG3 if they grade it (which they probably won't).
