I've got a few more coin sets that are ready to make the jump from folders to albums.
The rest of my collection is in Danscos, and I've been looking around the web to find the best price for the ones that I need.
I think I'll need a few to say the least. I've also looked into the idea of combining, say, Mercs and silver Rosies under one "roof," and make a joint album.
Any tips?

$25 each is the average price for every album, minus, of course, the 7070.

You could buy a blank dime album for putting your mercs and rosies, however the pages would not have labels for the date and mintmark. Or you could buy all the pages from each album, and find a binder large enough to hold all of them, but that might be pretty costly.

I'm not sure where it was originally purchased, but I bought a gently used "dimes" dansco on ebay that includes both mercs and rosies to like 1968..

I consider $20 a fair price for both buyer and seller. maybe add $5 to shipping too.

Have you tried looking at your local coin shop?
I bought an Early Commemorative Dansco AND a 7070 Type Set Dansco (used) for about $15. I knew the type set albums were crazy expensive and asked how much it would be and almost fell out in the floor when the guy told me it would be $15 for the pair (he knew which albums they were too!)
I've been hunting a good deal on some Danscos that have slots for proof coins too and haven't been having any luck on them locally, but if you are looking for cheap Danscos, that's what I'd recommend doing.

If you have any coin shows in your area, usually some dealers have used Albums and are cheap. Also, if you want other brands, those too are usually cheaper. And some hobby shops also carry brands like Whitman. I have a massive assortment of different brand Albums. This is due to going to coin shows and asking dealers if they have any they just don't want. Over the years I received virtually hundreds of them and free. I like the Mercury dime Whitman Albums since you can put two complete Albums in one binder.

Thanks for the responses!
I'm going to hold off on buying anything online for right now. There's a coin show in my area later in the week, and I'm planning on going there to try and score some used albums.

Some have them under the table, some behind them and some just throw them away. So if you ask, might find more than you could think.

At the last coin show I was at (the Lincoln Coin Club show), they had an entire table set up where they were giving out free pens, rulers (US mint stuff, it had their brand all over it lol), old coin weeks, used albums, Lincoln Cent blanks, and everything. It was great!

I would definitely check with dealers, my local guy usually sells them for $8-15 or so.
