Looks like a normal coin with odd toning. Pretty common amongst zinc Lincoln cents. You should be able to find all of the Lincoln Memorial Cents ( LMC) series and the Lincoln Shield cent ( LSC) series in high grades from pocket change and searching rolls from the bank. So find and upgrade your collection as time goes by! Also, there are a number of Error and Variety coins for those series worth looking for. Enjoy the hobby!
Rest in Peace

However, if you're seeing something else, let us know. I enlarged your pic and it got all pixilated -- so I couldn't look for anything amiss.

It just looks stained. Soda and other acidic products can ruin the nice new copper plating on these.

Is it gray in that area? If so, then there might be a split plating issue and the coin is starting to suffer zinc rot and that color will be replaced by a pot hole.

What is the going rate for a pothole? LOL Not much.
