Having a bear of a time with this 1889 Philly since I don't have coin in hand.

Things I've noted:
- Neck clash obverse w/no letter transfer visible, no clash reverse at wing or wreath
- Date position is far to very far, slanted, and 9 is high
- Appears to have die subsidence / sinking
- Very noticeable crack reverse from rim above E through RIC in AMERICA

My initial thought was 32 based on date position & obv. clash but the plate coin for 32 does not have any rim cracks reverse. So I started looking at the far dates such as 6 & 60 but the reverse crack does not match up.

Cannot really tell from photos about ear or date doubling. Any thoughts based on these photos?

VAM-60 appears to be correct.

It's hard to tell without the coin in hand, but I am guessing that you should be able to easily rule out V-6 and 32 simply based on the date doubling.

I'll scope it when I get it.

Odd thing is date position matches 32 more than 6...

With coin in hand I put it under the scope today finally -- confirmed VAM 60. Polishing lines match in wing feathers and under cap; date is correct position with high 9; ear is doubled; reverse die cracks match; chip in right of 2nd 8. PCGS MS64+ so I will add it to my SSDC registry tonight. VW only lists 4 coins in the census but I am not sure when the last time it was updated.

The SSDC is always updated. The instance that you enter your coin, the census will be updated to 5 in registry. At 64+ that is a nice coin ;) Thanks for following up!

Yup, I just added it to my registry (paralyse)

I'll take better pictures soon. It really pops for a 64+, blast white and tons of luster. I don't even know why they wasted the + on it, should be in a 65 holder.
