Well, I still have about 6 rolls left out of my first $100 box of nickels, and so far I've found 1 1994 Canadian, a 1918 Buffalo, and a couple of 1936 Buffalos.
Is that pretty standard? I'll keep reporting and maybe try and post some pictures.

I've never done a whole box of nickels.
Check that 1918 closely, there is a 1918/7 overdate that is pretty pricey.

I have gotten boxes of cents and halves, never nickels. I think I will have to try them next. Jim

The three Buffalos is amazing! I gernerally find 1 every two boxes, and half of those are dateless. To find 3 with dates is just amazing!
If you're as superstious as me, i'd keep going to that bank! --Gary

No I wouldn't think it was stndard. When I was going through bags of nickels over twenty years ago I never turned up a single buffalo. I can't see how one to three could be "standard" today. Of course that was back in the days before coinstar which has returned a lot of older coin to circulation.

Eyeluv,
I have gone through over 40 boxes in the last month, and have only found 5 total Buffalos! AWESOME box; if you can try to go back where you got that box and see if you can get more. There must have been a solid roll of Buffalos tossed into the hopper, and there are probably more out there to be found. Keep us posted, and GOOD LUCK!

You go Eyeluv! I've been through only 82 rolls of nickels since late last month. No Buffs yet but I'm still looking . My best finds have been two War Nickels and a '38D. Good for you! May you find more. Now....tell us how to get to the banks you're buying from !

Thanks Numi 63 for the complement ! I ask the bank to buy a box of nickels, and luckily so far they are sealed and the coins in the boxes are in clear plastic wrappers. I guess I've been lucky so far and guess what, I just bought another sealed box today because my 2 boxes of halves accidently didn't get ordered. I'll see what luck I have with these and get back with ya'll (I live in central Texas).
Have a great day and may you all have luck finding those wonderful coins !
