Mr Shampoo

Can you see any details on the coin, any letters or shapes

looking for words

Liberty
Date ...18xx
United States of America

Or maybe some form of
Mexico
Eagle with a snake in it's mouth

I think the bullets are of a later date than Half Cents.

Before the civil war, most bullets I know of, are round balls.
The two bullets on the left, make me think of buffalo rifle
bullets. The center maybe late 1800's or 20th century small
caliber rifle bullet. The fourth bullet looks something like
a three ring confederate musket bullet. No guess on the fifth bullet.

Even through the blurriness and fog, it doesn't look like a Half Cent. There appears to be a person with a hat. Looking foreard to slightly clearer pics!

Thanks for the input gr58 and spence! Id love to say I could make out any details on it. I've tried the makes eye, a magnifying glass...nothing. I do see some oranges to almost yellow coloring to it, but not much else so far.

There are a few things you can do to narrow it down a little.

1. What is weight?
2. What is diameter?
3. Is it magnetic?

Knowing this at least should help.

That's a lot clearer, at least the first one. Thanks! You can also crop them to get rid of excess background.
Now it's looking less like a Half Cent. Could it be ferrous? That looks kind of like rust.

Is the coin attracted to a magnet?

Ok mr. Shampoo, based on the size and magnetic properties, I am quite sure that we can rule out any sort of US coinage. It might be made from nickel, but more likely steel. Sometimes when I squint at the pics , I think that I can make out details but other times I can't. At this point, my best guess is that it is an old rusted plug from an electrical box. Electricians push these out when they route wires into the boxes and sometimes they end up on the ground. There is a slight flattening on the rim at 12 o'clock on your latest pic and this might be from the remnant attachment of the metal. Sorry not to have a definitive answer.

Now that we know it's magnetic, I seriously doubt that it's a coin at all.

Thanks for the info dspenicer. I also squint and sometimes I can swear I see detail. A cross, the number 8, a "V", but alas nothing definitive. Numisna I'm also thinking it's not a coin at all. Thanks again all of you. Well I'm considering this mystery solved; no coin. On another note, I have about 60 1964 Kennedy's halves for sale if anyone's interested lol.
