The front is more red and the back is a yellow color. Was wondering what caused this or is it an unusual coin ? Thanks

Probably an end coin. The air getting to the surface turned the copper plating a bit. (Also contact with a finger could alter the coin a bit.

I just found a 1990 cent and the edges are silver and the reverse shows silver on the memorial. Any clue ?
