My local small grocery lady that has been saving me LWC`c etc. offered me 5 Peace dollars yesterday.
2-1922D`s 1 1924 1-1927D and 1-1934D. all VF or better for $90.

Hope it was worth the money. The 1927d and 1934d have low mintage.
I have to buy a new camera that works decent to send pics like some you folks

Sounds like a good deal ... I would have bought them at that price.

Most coins shops would be selling them at a higher price.

I also agree ... On the 27 D and 34 D ... If they are better grade
coins ... You made a really good deal.
Rest in Peace

At under $20 each that was a fine buy. Especially if the last two are nice.

Thanks GR58,
I guess it pays to be nice to our small stores. I have got a bunch of LWC from her in the past. And others from other store owners.

I am trying to get this 187? vg Seated dime from my gas station

Under $20? Any silver dollar under $20 that isn't terribly damaged or holed is a good deal, and some of those are in higher grade? NICE!

I have read recently in a coin magazine that getting 1921 Peace dollar in MS condition is a fine bargain. The prices on both 1928's and 21's have been falling since I bought mine a few years ago. The high relief 1921 may be the real bargain. I have full sets of Peace dollars but I might buy 21 and 28 if they are high grade and price is right.

Wow, I wish the grocery store I worked at had Peace dollars! Mine gets several Franklin halves for instance, but I'm not the only coin collector who works there, and he's the lucky guy that gets to take them all home!
