This looks remarkably like MD to me...except it also looks like MD on the coppercoins image (used with permission). Markers on the coppercoins example are insignificant, except at the bottom of the bust, which appears to be on my coin. Seperation lines on the example do not show on my coin (wear? or just not there?) Thoughts? Do I remember something about prevalent MD on the 62 Cents?

Sorry Pete2226, IMHO it is just common Machine Doubling and not desirable hub doubling. The devices are reduced and the doubling is shelf-like. Looks cool though.

By the time I finished my photos and writing my comments, I had convinced myself it was MD! I guess that I just needed to talk it through. Thanks for listening

Along with the flat shelf and device reduction, watch the direction that's facing the rim and when also present on the bust I would suspect MD.

Found its best to double check against known varieties anyways, because some DD can show similar traits, but not this time at least against the 1DO-001.

If you check 1DO-020 is a good example that seems to face the rim. But you see its not flat like and shows definite separation.

The reverse devices are beginning to merge with fields indicating die wear. Thanks, Doug.

On the side by side of the dates, notice the spread on the hubbing of the DDO? It is wider and taller than the normal coin with machine damage.
