I am counting on the vast wealth of knowledge and experience on this forum to let me know what it is I have.
I know you folks will not let me down.

Here are the facts + obvious details:

It is bronze or copper (somewhat darker than photos show); 25 mm in diameter; weight 5.13 grams; rather thin planchet.
It has medal alignment.
It appears to have plenty of normal circulation wear.
No denomination is evident; however it is approximately the size of a Half Cent.

I have never seen nor heard of any USA minor coin with a 'turban head' obverse and heraldic 'eagle' reverse.
The bird's head looks a lot more like that of one of the turkeys my sis raises on her organic farm, than a serious bird of prey.

What-the-heck is this piece, pray tell ? ? ?

I think it is called a counter token. I know nothing else about these.

Most likely a Kettle game counter/ token

Here's an old thread with information https://goccf.com/t/239151

Give me a few minutes and I'll grab the pictures from an old ebay auction of an example that is in better shape showing where it is marked Kettle.

Wow, Meadowview really nailed it so to speak. I knew this forum would come through. But so quickly! Thanks a heap!

I doubt this one has the value close to those described due to its well worn condition. Never knew such things existed.

It's a Kettle Token, and 1803 seems to have been a popular date for them. Here's an actual 1803 Half Eagle. All are overdates - 1803/2.
