Today I added the last coin to my Gardmaster Five Cent Silver album, thus completing a seven-year project. The slot for the 1921 remains unfilled, but even if I could afford one I wouldn't crack it out of its holder to plug the hole.

Coins in this album range from VG to MS. I'll be photographing all of the coins and posting them here as time permits. There will be a couple of upgrades if I can find nice coins but, for all intents and purposes this album is done, hallelujah!

This makes two complete projects out of the seven I have been working on - this album and my PCGS registry set of Victoria Fifty Cents....

That's a tough set to complete, how deep did you go? Looking forward to pics and don't hesitate to put some of those beautiful halfs up as well.

As far as deep I'm not sure what you mean, but if you are referring to varieties I went with those that were in the album, such as 1885 Large 5 and Small 5, 1858 Large Date and Small Date, 1875-H Large Date and Small Date, etc.

If you want to see the Victorian halves here is a link:

As another serious collector of the 5 cent silver series, congratulations! Many days do I imagine myself completing a full set. It must feel amazing.

Here are photos for the first 6 coins, titled as they are listed in the album. 53 coins to go, so this is going to be an extended project.

Love the natural toning on all of these! That 1858LD is tough in that grade. Hard to say from the picks but I think I see a hint of a 1/1 on that 1871.

Here are the next six coins. The 1875-H Large date's obverse has streaky, woodgrain-like toning. It has not been cleaned.
