I was gathering some ones to take back to the bank the other day, and decided to take a look at the number of notes from each Federal Reserve Bank in the 71-note sample. I threw the series data in too. Here are the results:

    Series

   |2006|2009|2013|Total
F A| 0 1 0 1
R B| 1 6 0 7
B C| 0 3 0 3
  D| 0 3 0 3
  E| 4 1 7 12
  F| 1 6 1 8
  G| 1 7 2 10
  H| 0 2 0 2
  I| 0 0 0 0
  J| 0 2 0 2
  K| 0 2 1 3
  L| 1 15 4 20

What have the rest of you found in other parts of the country?

I would say it definitely depends on the series of the note. But usually the Reserves I see the least period, would be..

Minneapolis
St.Louis
Dallas

Typically the BEP prints the highest totals of $1 FRB's for New York (B), Atlanta (F), and San Francisco (L). Which districts you find in circulation may have something to do with what part of the country you live.

It all depends on which blocks are released in your area.

I was going to guess you lived in or around Michigan. Here we're getting E-C, F-A, and G-A 2013 notes, which matched up fairly well with your stats. Then I saw the 4 L 2013s and we don't have any of those around here.

I'm finding that most of the $1 bills in circulation here tend not to leave. Even the 2006 and 2009 notes floating around are usually from blocks that were originally released here. I guess not many people drive through Michigan, so it kinda becomes a suckerhole for notes.
