First outing on this forum, and must say what a great idea it is.

I pulled out my fathers old collection that he gave to me many years ago of coins and want to complete the collection for my son for the future.

I require the 1914, 18, 30, 37, 45, 46 & 54 pennies and was wondering the approximate cost I should be paying for each of these pennies to finish the collection and where I can source these from locally in South Australia?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Quick check list for you, Chucky,
1914, 1918 shouldn't be that hard to obtain.
1930 is a major one which will cost you an arm and a leg.
1937 you can skip, only patterns done for that one.
1945 won't be hard to get.
1946 is the 3rd hardest to get, but is obtainable and might cost a few bucks depending on the grade.
1954 none minted for the pennies that year.
I see you didn't mention needing a 1925 1d......which is the 2nd key date in the penny series.
What grades you would be after, would depend on the price you would pay.
Happy hunting....and Welcome....

As for where to get them locally, I've never been to Adelaide so I'm not personally familiar with the local coin scene, but I know there are a couple of big-name dealers based there. Check the ANDA dealer list for South Australian based companies.

Not all coin dealers are members of ANDA, but there's always the phone book. Look up "coin dealers" in the Yellow Pages.
