All of the markers are there for the DDO-003 listing BTW.I've researched it on several sites and they already have a listing for LMS but no examples yet. Hoping a pro can weigh in on it before I send it away.

Looks like worn die. Very common that year. John1

Unfortunately I think you should save your money and not send it out. You could probably get 10-20 dollars on ebay.

I thought about it but I don't want to scam anybody. I thought Machine Doubling and deteriorated dies weren't worth anything? If so it'll probably just be my poor man's DDO of the 95D

I feel like sending this one to PCGS would probably up my chances of value as well. Any opinions on the grade while we're here?

"A coin is only worth what a collector will pay" I don't recall what professional made that statement, but thank you John. I see the heritage auction listings for even 2010 cents that sell for $500+ at auction, so being one cent to one guy who searches rolls could be worth a good bit more to somebody with the money that has different tastes. Or maybe I'll waste $30 and have a $30.01 1995 D in my collection lol

I don't think the coin would be worth sending in to PCGS. For it have high value like the 2010 cents you are talking about it would have to be a MS69-70. Still has nice toning and looks like a MS62-64, I would put it in a 2x2 not a slab.

unfortunatly - if you spend $30 to have this one gradded and slabbed - you won't have a coin worth $30.01. you will still have a coin worth $.01/ I dont think any clollector will pay the grading fee fou your coin.

Right....I just meant I'd be spending the money to send it out, then worst case realizing I wasted the $....I'm pretty aware of that specific scenario being a gamble. Thanks for clarifying though.

So anyways... The markers indicating a doubled die in this case are nothing to put into consideration? There's a odd shape imprinted between the 1st and 2nd pillar on the reverse too. Is that any indication of error? Never saw it on the other 100 or so '95D's I've found.

If the coin does not have the variety, the markers mean nothing. The dies go through a lot of the same events, thus markers can match even though not meaning nothing. Variety first. Markers to help ID the coin after you see the hub doubling/RPM varieties. It is just as John1 said. Die Deterioration wear on the devices facing the rim. Date on the right side. LIBERTY on the left side and on the tops of the motto. towards the rim. Just a spender.

Jimmyjohns7724, When you say you think it is DDO-003 is that from CC's site? If so not even close sorry to say. Your coin is a regular cent and as coop said spendable. John1

I see what you guys are saying now. After looking all day and noticing some differences it's a little more apparent to me. I've been looking for the spread more than the die itself. Makes sense, thanks for bearing with me guys

The words IN GOD still seem doubled to me but that's about all I'm seeing now. Is that also deterioration?
