Is the a point at which the extent of the texture makes this issue more desirable? (More, or Less Texture)

Not to a true collector. They are just coinage to me. If I see a variety with an issue of orange peel on it, I pass. They are a distraction to me in a bad way.

No I personally have not seen any sell at a premium,although I like the look very much.

I guess after you learn how to grade a coin, that does away. Any distraction is just that, a distraction that would lower the grade of a coin.
