There were only a few areas that made me wonder
but the tip of the 6 and the three and the bottom of the 9
looks maybe doubled? Also the R in Liberty? Anyone
Have any idea what I'm looking at? Or is it just die deteriation?

IMO = In My Opinion

I think it is just wear and tear.

Looks like the devices were all flattened. (more than normal for circulation)

Thank you all....

So if I'm understanding this right, it's normal
wear and tear? That wouldn't be doubling then
in the date and R?

Not seeing doubled die, just heavy circulation wear. So much so I think it had help along the way at some point.

Not sure I'd call it normal wear and tear. I'm thinking improper cleaning. Maybe from a rock tumbler or similar device. Thanks, Doug.

I see the cents from the 60's having a bold high relief design strike. Unlike the lower relief designs we see today.

When devices start flattening out, it makes devices seem bolder or wider. Thanks, Doug.
