VERY off center. Can you see any exposed zinc on either side or do you know the weight? might be from before the 1982 switch to zincoln planchets
3.11 grams = pre-zincoln
2.5 grans = zincoln

By your description, it is a uniface off-center strike. They're relatively common. Likely value is around $4-6.

And it appears to be a copper cent.
