Found This Coin While Metal Detecting My Yard Please Help Identify

Good morning everyone I got a new metal detector yesterday and in two hours I found this coin. I did some research on it and not sure if correct but it may be a British half penny from the late 1700's anyone have a bit more information on this sorry about the pictures best picture I could get the coin is in rough shape. The back is completely worn off

It's just about an inch across but I have no way to weigh it but I will say that it very thin I tiny bit thinner then a penny still looking at Google and still can't really be 100% positive on what it is but it was found within two feet of a no date N rapped bust large cent that I pulled too

Could it be the legend at the bottom of the coin (as it's positioned above) says "GEORGIVS"?

It sounds like there are a ton of counterfeit of these out there how is the best way to tell real or counterfeit

There is a fairly recent book (last year) on the subject: "Counterfeit Georgian Copper Coins". Check the library? The good news is that some of the counterfeits are worth more because they were made in America. The bad news is that yours looks genuine.
